it is possible? a task with sub-task?

Hi,
I’m newby about oroCRM.
I’m looking if it is possible to create a task under anoter task.
I mean if I’d like to create a new task for doing the main task … it is possible?

for istance:
I create a task for building a new space-car:
I need to get Iron, emplooy and engeeneers, do marketing, and so on….
All these “sub” task are to big for beeng in the main task “build a new space-car”
so I’d like to create “get Iron”, “get emplooy and engeeneers” , “do marketing”, ….
tasks related to the main class “build a new space-car”.

in pratice…
how describe a WBS (Work breakdown structure) in oroCMS?
there is another way/philosofy for doing that in orocrm?

Hi Oda,

We don’t have task breakdown feature yet. As a substitute, I may suggest using Cases to track the main project and Tasks to track individual tasks.

Simply log a task from the case view page using More Actions button, or add this case as a context for an existing task via Add Context button on the Task view page.

I have a little difficulties to understand… sorry!:-)
what do you mean with ” log a task from the case view page using More Actions button”?

and what do you mean with “add this case as a context for an existing task via Add Context button on the Task view page.”
I see “add Context” button (at top right) in task page or in edit I see Context area at the botton.
but I cant assign to task the Case (editing the name’s case in Task’s Context).

Please check if tasks are enabled for Case entity in Entity management. They should be by default, but maybe you have them turned off.

I done what you said:

System-> Entities -> Entity Management
Click on “Case” (label:case) , Edit
and add (flag) “Tasks” in “Activities” (under “Communication & Collaboration” section)
then “Save and Close” and update the schema.

Now in Case I had th button “More Action” and I can add a new task.
