Running Oro in Docker on Mac

Is anyone running Oro in Docker on Mac? I’m running into extreme slowness which I think is related to an issue with Docker on Mac and mounted volumes. Has anyone else run into something similar and if so, any suggestions on how to speed things up? Thanks.

Here’s some relevant details:
Docker container is php:7-apache
Oro Enterprise 1.0.1
Docker Version 17.03.0-ce-mac2

It a known issue, so we use Xhyve or Parallels Desktop together with docker-machine

Shell

brew install --HEAD xhyve brew install docker docker-compose docker-machine sudo chown root:wheel /usr/local/bin/docker-machine-driver-xhyve sudo chmod u+s /usr/local/bin/docker-machine-driver-xhyve docker-machine create --driver=xhyve --xhyve-memory-size=12192 --xhyve-cpu-count=6 --xhyve-virtio-9p --xhyve-experimental-nfs-share default eval (docker-machine env default)

Xhyve with nfs has permissions issues, so it’s better to use single user (www-data) with same uid\gid
