How to create self-referencing association

I tried to create a self-referencing association using entity management feature in ORO platform admin like (http://doctrine-orm.readthedocs.org/en/latest/reference/association-mapping.html#one-to-many-self-referencing). For that I created a many-to-one field. But there is no option to choose current entity for that field.

Is it possible to create self-referencing association using entity management?

For now it’s not possible via UI.
We know about this problem and such functionality is already planned, but I’m not sure in which release it will be introduced (

But, you can achieve this via migration and only in platform version 1.4 – there was a workaround that allows such relations (https://github.com/orocrm/platform/blob/1.4/src/Oro/Bundle/EntityExtendBundle/Tools/DumperExtensions/RelationEntityConfigDumperExtension.php).

But it’s not a real solution and can cause problems with migrating to newer versions with such relations in system.
